Meet Doug Young

For nearly three decades, attorney Douglass Young has used his comprehensive knowledge of the law to defend his clients’ business interests regarding insurance coverage matters. Upon graduating from the Detroit College of Law in 1990, Doug Young was hired at Plunkett Cooney PC, where he served as an associate in the firm’s insurance coverage department.

Four years later, lawyer Young provided counsel for insurance companies and agencies within the Meadowbrook Insurance Group. Hired initially as Assistant General Counsel, Doug Young was promoted to Vice President before leaving the company in 2004.

As a name partner at Wilson Young Costello PLC, Doug Young successfully represented both policyholders and insurance agents involved in insurance disputes regarding coverage, errors and omissions claims and other complex matters.

Doug Young established Young Insurance Law to provide strategic advocacy to policyholders, risk managers and corporations in the Detroit Metro and throughout Michigan.
